Frauds/Scams
Scammers e-mail and Text so beware!!
Sometimes you will get an e-mail that you have a "NEW CONTACT ME REQUEST"
Most AVON Representatives can identify these scammers
How to Identify them:
1) You will receive a request on your AVON website from someone you do not know
2)They will first say "I want to order Products"
3)When you respond they will ask for a large amount of expensive products
4)They will say they will pay with certified or cashier checks
5)They will go on to say "I am out of town or the country on a business venture and say they will pay all the shipping, etc
6)Some will give you the order in email right away
The information above should alert you right away. I suggest you ignore & delete the mail. Do not respond. If they are legit they will contact you again. If they are not they will go away.
- Unfortunately most times these are fraudulent people. Most people who want to order online just do it and do not want your help.
- Go online to youravon.com and go to web office. On the right hand side of the page in the gray box it will show if you have any new customers.
- If you have a new customer, click it. When you see the new customer information you can see if they put in a phone number or address. If they have not put in a number or address they are most likely a scammer.
- If you e-mail them they will usually e-mail you back with a huge order and say they will send you a money order and that they have a private shipping company. They will usually have bad spelling and say awkward things. ALWAYS REFER THESE PEOPLE TO ORDER AND PAY ON YOUR WEBSITE! NEVER ACCEPT A CHECK FROM THESE PEOPLE!
